  Christopher Pesce

Christopher Pesce, President

Prior to forming Maritime Program Group, Chris worked extensively for Maritime General Agency, starting as an intern while completing his bachelor degree at Saint Joseph’s College in NY. He took over as Maritime General Agency's General Manager in 1997, and moved the operations to the current headquarters in Connecticut. In 2009, Chris managed the strategic acquisition of Marine MGA based in Manchester, NH, and in 2010 turned his focus to rebranding the companies and programs under the new name of Maritime Program Group. Chris is an active member of the insurance community; he currently serves on the Producer Council for the American Institute of Marine Underwriters and teaches continuing education classes about Marine Insurance throughout the country. In the past he served on the Executive Committee for the Independent Insurance Agents Association of CT and was Chairman of the Young Agents Committee. Chris is a lifelong boater, and hails from the south shore of Long Island, NY. He and his family currently reside in Madison, CT.

  Clark Travitz

Clark Travitz, Executive Vice President

Clark brings over 35 years of multi-line Ocean Marine underwriting and 16 years of management experience to Maritime Program Group. He served as the Southeast Regional Director for the St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company's Ocean Marine Department for 10 years. Highly visible in the marketplace, Clark also held the position of AIMU Southeast Regional Director for four years. Responsibilities at St. Paul included oversight of all planning, budgeting, staffing and underwriting results, across all lines of Ocean Marine, including primary and excess marine liabilities, ocean cargo, hull, and P&I. Clark's career started in January 1981 when he was hired by St. Paul to be a Commercial Liability Trainee. In December of 1981, he was promoted to Ocean Marine Underwriter stationed in New York City. It's this commercial Liability training that allowed Clark to head the development of the Marine General Liability product for the St. Paul in the mid-1980's.

  Alison Kelly

Alison Kelly, Executive Vice President

Alison comes to Maritime Program Group after starting Axiom Insurance Management in May of 1997. She brings 29 years of Inland and Ocean Marine experience with her. Alison participated in opening Somerset of Georgia, a captive MGA for Navigators, in April of 1989. As Director of Finance & Underwriter, she was responsible from inception for the office and financial management and over time, Inland Marine and select lines of Ocean Marine development throughout the southeast territory. As a result of her dedication and results, Alison was brought in as an equity partner in October of 1990 and made Vice President in June of 1993. She brings a diverse background of experience, in an entrepreneurial company environment with skills in agency management, underwriting and claims handling to MPG. Alison began her insurance career in inland and ocean marine underwriting with GRE / Talbot, Bird in 1987.

  Marc Mercier

Marc Mercier, Executive Vice President & Branch Manager

Marc joined Marine MGA months after its founding in 1990 and has been an integral part of the success of the company over the years. He also played a significant role in the forming of MPG in 2010. His 34 years of experience and disciplined approach to servicing brokers as the Marketing Manager has positioned MPG’s Inland Marine division as a national leader. Marc currently oversees production and operations of the Manchester, NH branch. A lifelong New Hampshire resident who graduated from UNH, lives in Manchester with his family, and enjoys beach and water metal detecting.

  Damon Pesce

Damon Pesce, Vice President of Business Development

Damon began serving the company in 2005 and is now at the helm of MPG’s marketing and business development. Damon’s insurance career began right out of college when he started working as a producer for United HealthCare and then transitioned into selling a range of TPA services to insurance carriers. Damon earned his BA in Political Science at SUNY Plattsburgh and today he leads the expansion efforts nationally for MPG. Residing in East Haddam, CT with his family, Damon is an avid outdoorsman, with particular interests in hunting and fishing.

  Lenny Bellet

Lenny Bellet, Director of Operations

Lenny took over as Director of Operations for Maritime Program Group in 2011 after five years as Program Manager for Sea Insure, LLC. He was instrumental in building Sea Insure from its inception into a nationally-known retail agency offering Yacht Insurance to members of Sea Tow. He has worn both sales and underwriting hats in the past; working as a Yacht Underwriter with Chubb and as a Personal Lines agent specializing in Recreational Marine Insurance. Lenny has also worked as crew aboard traditionally rigged schooners and commercial oyster vessels. He currently lives in Mystic, CT where he enjoys boating with his family.

  Dana Downes

Dana Downes, Vice President of Recreational Marine

Dana has an extensive background underwriting marine risks, starting in 1987 when Dana worked with New Hampshire Insurance Company as their Mid Atlantic Marine Manager. For the past three years, Dana worked with Hanover Insurance Company, where he served as their Director of Marina Programs. Prior to working with Hanover, Dana was employed with Marine MGA from 1993-2009. As the Program Manager, he assisted in the development of the North American Specialty Recreational Marine program. Today Dana resides in Bedford, NH and is the proud father of young twin boys. Dana can also be found in Newport, RI where he has a second residence and enjoys fishing and sailing.

  Christine Santiago

Christine Santiago, Vice President of Inland Marine

Christine Santiago has 30 years in the insurance industry with the last 25 dedicated to Inland Marine. She has extensive experience in form and rate development and establishing underwriting guidelines. She has marketed the product line throughout the US in both the wholesale and retail distribution networks. She was most recently with Starr Indemnity as Vice President, Inland Marine Product Line Manager where she expanded their Inland Marine offerings through Starr Marine offices. She spent 7 years with Axis Insurance as Senior Vice President leading the Builders Risk underwriting team. Prior to that, she spent 4 years with Ace USA Westchester Division as Assistant Vice President underwriting Inland Marine with an emphasis on Builders Risk insurance. She had regional underwriting responsibilities with St. Paul/USF&G and Hartford Insurance Group all in Inland Marine. She began her underwriting career with Risk Specialists of New York underwriting Excess and Surplus Lines Property Insurance. She has been based in New York City for her entire career and makes her home in Garrison, NY with her wife of 28 years and their 2 dogs. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys hiking the trails near her home.

  Daniel Rutherford

Daniel Rutherford, Director, Claims & Risk Management

Dan began his career in the marine field in 1974 at Atlantic Sailing Yachts where he was a delivery captain and yard manager, responsible for commissioning and delivery of sailing vessels throughout the northeast. After graduating from Roger Williams College with a degree in Business Management, he took on the responsibilities of a Production Manager for Bristol Yachts. In 1982 he launched his career in the marine insurance business at GAB as a Marine Surveyor, where he received extensive training in claims handling. He formed his own company, Ocean Marine Specialties, Inc., in 1986. Since then, at the helm of Ocean Marine, he specialized in marine insurance damage claims and investigations. Mr. Rutherford has handled over 10,000 marine claims investigations, to include 24 hurricane deployments. A founding member, he is a Certified Marine Investigator (0046-03) and was twice awarded Investigator of the Year for The International Association of Marine Investigators. He currently sits on the Certified Marine Investigator committee and is a Gold Level Instructor for IAMI. He has been qualified through the Federal Courts as a recognized expert in marine accident reconstruction, survey, appraisal, and marine claims. He was a lead instructor for the Accident Investigation class for the American Boat and Yacht Council and lectures for IBEX (International Boatbuilding Exhibition). Mr. Rutherford held the position of Municipal Emergency Coordinator for the NJ State Police OEM Division and is a Licensed Private Investigator (NH68850).

  Kimberly Ahern

Kimberly Ahern, Inland Marine Underwriting Assistant

Kim joined Maritime Program Group in 2015 after beginning her career in banking at Bank of America and is now a part of the Inland Marine team. She grew up in Haverhill, Massachusetts and currently resides in Fremont, New Hampshire with her husband and son. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, country music and Patriots football games.

  Renee Althauser

Renee Althauser, Brokerage Assistant

Renee joined the Brokerage unit of Maritime Program Group in 2017 with 30+ years of administrative & management experience from a diverse range of industries. She has worked on the admin side of the insurance industry in both retail and wholesale as well as being involved in the creation and execution of two successful businesses. She grew up in the Midwest and earned her bachelor’s degree from University of Missouri-Columbia. Renee resides in Florida, loves the outdoors, sunshine, biking, music, reading novels, cooking & traveling.

  Sarah Archer

Sarah Archer, Commercial Underwriter & Workers Compensation Specialist

Sarah started with Maritime Program Group in 2002 as an Underwriting Assistant. She has worked her way up to a Commercial Underwriter and holds a CT Producers License for P&C where she is responsible for assisting in the underwriting, quoting and issuance of MPG’s rec. marine accounts. Sarah resides in New London with her husband and their three beautiful daughters. She is an avid pool player and enjoys spending time by the ocean with her family and watching her girls play soccer.

  Erin Atiya

Erin Atiya, Inland Marine Underwriting Technician

In 2003, Erin joined Marine MGA. She is a valuable member of our team of Underwriting Assistants in the Inland Marine department where she provides great value to our broker partners. She resides with her husband and two children in Hooksett, NH, and can be found during the summer on Lake Winnipesaukee with her family.

  Janet Ayers

Janet Ayers, Inland Marine Underwriting Technician

Janet came to Marine MGA in 1992 with years of direct experience in the insurance business, with a focus on underwriting. She worked for New Hampshire Insurance in the Inland and Ocean Marine sectors prior to joining Marine MGA. She puts those same skills to work in her current role as an Underwriting Technician in the Inland Marine department. Janet currently resides in Campton, NH.

  Ann Babbitt

Ann Babbitt, Ocean Marine Underwriting Assistant

Annie joined Maritime Program Group in 2012 as an Ocean Marine Underwriting Assistant. Her 25 years insurance industry experience includes 11 years at New Hampshire Insurance Company and 15 years in healthcare insurance. Ann currently lives in Manchester, NH. She enjoys her pets, Cape Cod, and is an avid Patriots fan.

  Derek Bohan

Derek Bohan, Business Analyst

Prior to joining Maritime Program Group in 2012, Derek spent the last several years working for Unitrin Direct as a personal lines underwriter. Derek has a CT P&C Producers License and a background that includes insurance sales. Derek was born in Hamden, CT and still lives there with his wife and children. He enjoys hockey, working out and boating.

  Tim Boyle

Tim Boyle, Director, Private Client Services

Prior to joining Maritime Program Group Tim spent 10+ years working with high net worth insurance clients, most recently as Director of Personal Lines at large retail agency, Keevily Spero Whitelaw, Inc. Before that Tim was Office Head for Marsh Private Client Services in Norwalk, CT. Tim lives in Bethel, CT with his wife and daughter and enjoys running and golf. Additionally, Tim recently completed his first toughman triathlon.

  Deborah Cameron

Deborah Cameron, Administrative Assistant

Deborah started with Maritime Program Group in 2004. Prior to that, Deborah served as a Marketing Executive Assistant at Perrier, and in similar positions for Foxwoods Resort Casino and Sovereign Bank. Today Deb keeps our Rec. Marine team organized and on task. A Canadian native, she currently lives in Old Saybrook, CT.

  James Camperchioli

James Camperchioli, Surplus Lines Administrator

James started with Maritime Program Group in 2015 as a Surplus Lines Administrator. He is a recent graduate of the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Maritime Business. A resident of Westbrook, CT, James enjoys home-brewing, playing classical guitar, and hiking in his spare time.

  Brenda Champagne

Brenda Champagne, Commercial Underwriter

In 2002 Brenda became part of Marine MGA and she has 28 years of industry experience. She worked at New Hampshire Insurance as a commercial lines underwriter in the Marine Department and Merchants Mutual as New England Regional Team Leader in commercial lines underwriting. She has worked extensively with boat dealers, marinas, and yacht clubs. Today she resides in Manchester, NH.

  Erin Crowley

Erin Crowley, Account Representative, Private Client Services

Erin joined Maritime Program Group’s Private Client Services with over 5 years of personal lines Insurance experience – most recently as a claims specialist & account manager at a prevalent local retail insurance agency. Erin is a licensed P&C agent with extensive experience in the high net worth realm, and is in the process of obtaining her CPRM (Certified Personal Risk Manager) designation. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Erin is an avid Huskies fan, and also enjoys reading, playing tennis, and hiking. Erin lives in Ivoryton, CT with her husband, daughter, and dog.

  Michael DeMarco

Michael DeMarco, Sr. Underwriter, Private Client Services

Michael joined Maritime Program Group in 2018 to head up the E&S personal lines program, which is part of MPG’s Private Client Services division. Having worked as a Senior Underwriter in Lexington’s Personal Lines division, Michael comes to MPG with years of E&S underwriting background. Prior to MPG, Michael also worked as a Business Development Executive at AIR Worldwide. Michael has a BA in History and Education from Rowan University and he earned his MBA from Boston University. Michael resides in Boston and enjoys bike riding, exercise, fishing, reading, and spending time along MA’s ocean communities.

  Tanya Drouin

Tanya Drouin, Commercial Underwriting Assistant

Tanya started working for Marine MGA in 1996. With 15 years of industry experience, Tanya has served as a file clerk as well as an underwriting assistant. She assists our Rec Marine team with rating, issuance and broker service. She was born in New Hampshire and today resides in Manchester with her family.

  Jodie Ferraro

Jodie Ferraro, Ocean Marine Underwriting Technician

Jodie began her work with Windward Marine Underwriters in 2007 as an Assistant Yacht Underwriter. She now is an Ocean Marine Underwriting Technician with MPG. She has direct experience as Captain of an 80-foot traditional schooner, a 60-foot pilot boat, and she has worked as Chief Mate on vessels from 300-ton high speed ferries to 1600 ton auto ferries. Raised in Tempe, AZ, she now lives in Groton, CT.

  Michelle Fubel

Michelle Fubel, Claims Adjuster

Michelle is the latest addition to our Marine claims unit. She comes to MPG with over 18 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 13 years in claims and 5 years as an Ocean Marine Underwriter. Michelle currently resides in MA and in her spare time she enjoys reading and collecting antiquarian books.

  Jarixa Garriga

Jarixa Garriga, Commercial Underwriting Assistant

Jarixa began working for Maritime Program Group in 2007 and now has several years in the insurance industry. She has served as an Underwriting Assistant for the Yacht Department and the Private Client Group and has deep banking experience as well. Born in Lancaster, PA, she lives in Clinton, CT today.

  Jason Holbrook

Jason Holbrook, Ocean Marine Manager

Jason Holbrook comes to Maritime Program Group with 19 years of underwriting and claims experience, which include 13 years with Axiom. He has been involved in all aspects of Axiom's underwriting operations and in the recreational marine brokerage operation. Jason has also played a key role in managing the Inland and Property portfolio of business. Prior to joining Axiom, Jason spent four years with Southern Insurance Underwriters developing his base of underwriting knowledge in the Commercial General Liability, Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, and Inland Marine lines of business. He also spent two years in the claims field, which solidified his understanding of the insurance industry. Jason graduated from Georgia State University in the spring of 1997 with a Business Administration degree in Risk Management and Insurance.

  Adam Isherwood

Adam Isherwood, Underwriter/Marine Broker

Adam joined MPG in February, 2016 taking the helm of the brokerage division. With an extensive marine background, Adam graduated from Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in International Maritime Business. Adam has been involved in the marine industry since graduation and has experience as operations manager of a commercial tug and towing company, a P&I Club correspondent managing international Hull, P&I and Cargo claims and most recently a marine broker holding a Rhode Island P&C license. Adam resides in Manchester, NH and in his spare time he enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts.

  Rochelle Kapetan

Rochelle Kapetan, Yacht Underwriting Technician

Rochelle joined Maritime Program Group in 2014 as an Underwriting Assistant for the Yacht Department. She brings a strong organizational and customer service background to the group. She also had a very rewarding career as a paraprofessional working with children with special needs. Rochelle was born in Virginia Beach, VA and currently lives in Groton, CT with her husband and daughter. She enjoys going for walks, spending time at the beach, baseball, attending WNBA games, billiards and traveling.

  Maura King

Maura King, Commercial Underwriting Technician

She has 26 years of experience in Commercial Insurance and joined Marine MGA in 2008. Maura has a comprehensive background in P&C, Workers Compensation, Regulation and Compliance. She has worked both at carrier and company levels with New Hampshire Insurance Group & Mountain Valley Indemnity/White Mountains Insurance Company as well as Specialized Program Companies with North American Specialty Insurance Company & Syndicated Services Company. She grew up in Clinton, CT but now lives in Barnstead, NH.

  Michelle McClendon-Render

Michelle McClendon-Render, Underwriting Assistant

Michelle joined Maritime Program Group after working the past 13 years with Axiom specializing in Ocean, Inland and Recreational Marine. Prior to Axiom, she worked for two years in Personal Lines Auto, Home and claims. Originally born in Columbus, OH, Michelle currently lives with her family in Covington, GA. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, watching movies, skating, and bowling.

  Barbara Minges

Barbara Minges, Executive Assistant

Barbara joined the ranks of Maritime Program Group in May 2012. She previously worked at the Institutes for Pharmaceutical Discovery in Branford, CT as an Executive Assistant and Daniel Hand High School in Madison, CT as a Paraprofessional and Union President. Barbara is a volunteer firefighter and treasurer for the North Madison Volunteer Fire Company. Barbara lives in Madison, CT and in her free time enjoys boating and camping.

  David Morrill

David Morrill, Inland Marine Program Manager

In 1995 David joined the ranks of Marine MGA. His 25 years in the insurance field include extensive experience as an Inland Marine Underwriter for New Hampshire Insurance, as well as Peerless Insurance. Today David leads our team of inland marine underwriters and is responsible for development of our Inland Marine Programs. He grew up in Concord, NH, and lives there today with his family. David coaches softball and soccer and is known to swing a golf club.

  Sandra Molan

Sandra Molan, Executive Assistant

Starting with Marine MGA in its early years in 1991, Sandi has helped build the foundation upon which MPG now operates. She brings over 27 years of experience to her position as an Executive Assistant at MPG. She previously worked for the New Hampshire Insurance Company, where she served as a departmental supervisor. She is a lifelong New Hampshire resident, and currently lives in Manchester with her family.

  Dawn Novelli

Dawn Novelli, Director of First Impressions

Dawn joined MPG in 2005 as Communication Center Coordinator, bringing with her more than 20 years of administrative and communication experience. Dawn is well-known for making an incredibly positive first impression for our many inbound callers and visitors. Located in our Westbrook, CT office, she manages the flow of communication for our many locations. Dawn and her family reside in Guilford, CT.

  Stephanie Novelli

Stephanie Novelli, Yacht Underwriting Assistant

Stephanie joined Maritime Program Group in August of 2017 as an underwriting Assistant for the Yacht department. She previously interned at Maritime while completing her bachelor's degree from Southern Connecticut State University. Stephanie currently resides in Guilford, CT, and enjoys hockey, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

  Mallory Ortiz

Mallory Ortiz, Commercial Underwriting Technician

Mallory was hired by Maritime Program Group in 2005 after beginning her career in banking at NewAlliance. She has earned her P&C license and is responsible for assisting in the underwriting, quoting and issuance of MPG’s Rec. Marine accounts. Mallory resides in Ivoryton, CT with her husband and son. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, walking, going to the beach and spending time with her family.

  Kristen Orzolek

Kristen Orzolek, Yacht Underwriter

Kristen recently joined MPG in 2014 as a Yacht Underwriting Assistant. A graduate of University of Vermont, Kristen started her insurance career in the Individual Annuity and Retirement Plan Divisions of the Hartford. Prior to coming onboard at MPG, she also developed a background in field marketing and outreach for a local energy efficiency company. An avid sailor her whole life, Kristen has sailed up and down the East Coast from New England to the BVI’s. She currently resides in Deep River, CT and often tries to escape to her favorite place, Block Island, when she can. In her spare time when she isn’t on the water, Kristen enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, downhill skiing, traveling and surfing.

  Judy Page

Judy Page, Commercial Underwriting Assistant

Judy joined the team at Maritime Program Group in 2015 as Recreational Marine Underwriting Assistant where she assists with rating, issuance and policy service. She comes to us with 15 years of experience with Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Customer Service Specialist. She was born in New Hampshire and currently resides in Merrimack. In her free time, Judy enjoys spending time with her family and friends and likes going to the mountains as well as the beach.

  Matthew Roper

Matthew Roper, Recreational Marine Manager

In November 2017 Matt came to MPG as the Manager of the Recreational Marine Department. He jumped into the insurance industry in 2009 as an Inland Marine Underwriter with Acadia Insurance (a W.R. Berkley Company). In 2010, he moved to Syracuse, NY where his underwriting book expanded to include a portfolio of Recreational Marine accounts. Matt ultimately enjoyed growing this book and in 2012, joined Chubb Custom Markets (now Chubb, Ltd.) as a Recreational Marine Underwriter. In his first two years, he was awarded Chubb’s Circle of Sales Excellence, promoted to Senior Underwriter, and attained his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Marine Insurance Management designations. His book also expanded to include complex international manufacturing risks. Matt spent considerable time building strong relationships with his corporate team, his reinsurers, and his producers. Previous to insurance, Matt graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts (2005) and Master of Arts (2008) in History. He enjoys spending his down time traveling the world with his wife, skiing, and golfing.

  Suzanne Slayton

Suzanne Slayton, Underwriting Assistant

Suzanne joined Maritime Program Group in 2016 after working the past 4 years with Axiom Insurance Management as an Underwriting Assistant. She has a total of 23 years’ experience in the insurance industry and currently holds a GA Producer license for P&C. Suzanne currently lives in Marietta with her family and enjoys exercising, spending time with her cat Dallas, along with watching UGA, Atlanta Falcons Football, and baking.

  Melissa Sousa

Melissa Sousa, Commercial Underwriter & Compliance Manager

Melissa joined Maritime Program Group in 2011 with 10+ years of industry experience. She previously worked at Willis of NH as a Production Underwriter for both the recycling and waste hauling programs. She currently holds the CPCU designation as well as several other insurance industry designations. She enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family, especially her grandchildren. Melissa currently resides in Rochester, NH.

  Kaley Stewart

Kaley Stewart, Commercial Underwriting Assistant

Kaley joined Maritime Program Group in August 2015 as a Rec Marine Underwriting Assistant. She previously worked at Amica Insurance while finishing up her bachelor’s degree at the University of New Hampshire. Kaley currently resides in Manchester, NH, and enjoys cooking, reading, and various outdoor activities.

  Michael Terrier

Michael Terrier, USCG, CFM, LUTCF, Senior Yacht Underwriter

Michael joined Maritime Program Group in 2003, but he has served the insurance and finance industries for more than 22 years with companies such as MetLife, American Phoenix, and Merrill Lynch. Equally impressive is his experience on the water – as a charter captain, Merchant Marine Officer, and U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain. Michael has logged more than 2000 days at sea from Maine to the Florida Keys, Central America, the Pacific, and more.

  Marisa Tranghese

Marisa Tranghese, Commercial Underwriter

She joined Maritime Program Group in 2007 having just graduated from Bay Path College. She’s quickly become a valuable member of our commercial team of Underwriters as well as being the team leader for the oversight and implementation of our underwriting technology platform. Marisa resides in Niantic, CT, just a few yards from Rocky Neck State Beach.

  Bob Traver

Bob Traver, Inland Marine Underwriter

Bob left retirement and joined Maritime Program Group’s Inland Marine team bringing with him over 40 years of underwriting and brokering experience. Prior to MPG, Bob ran the line of business as Vice President of Inland Marine at Allied World, Axis Insurance and earlier, Ace. He spent time as a broker at Johnson & Higgins and Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. as well as holding property and marine underwriting positions at Fireman’s Fund, C&F, IRM and the Hartford. Bob lives in Bethlehem, CT with his wife and enjoys re-building anything but especially houses and old trucks.

  Brandt Travitz

Brandt Travitz, Ocean Marine Senior Underwriter

Brandt Travitz joined Maritime Program Group in October of 2016 and brings with him marine underwriting experience dating back to 2010 where he served as Senior Underwriter at Axiom Insurance Management. There, Brandt focused on underwriting commercial marine liabilities as well as hull and protection and indemnity business while also spending time brokering recreational marine business. Brandt has been in the insurance industry since 2009 when he graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in Risk Management & Insurance from the Terry School of Business. Shari Trefil, Brokerage Department Manager

Shari came to MPG in 2013 with over 23 years of experience in the insurance industry, having spent the last four years serving as a Branch Manager for Britt/Paulk’s Marine Division. Prior to that, Shari worked with Universal Insurance out of Grand Rapids, MI, where she was the Marine Department Manager overseeing both retail and wholesale marine risks. Shari started her insurance career as a State Farm agent selling personal insurance, including a lot of boat insurance. Born and raised in Michigan, today Shari resides in Port St Lucie, FL where she enjoys boating, fishing, attending car shows and spending time with her family.

  Julie Upp

Julie Upp, Yacht Underwriting Technician

She began work for Maritime Program Group in 2004, and rejoined the company in 2010 after a stint overseas. She now has more than 12 years of experience in insurance and finance and previously worked for Royal & SunAlliance as an Underwriting Assistant supporting the Yacht Department. Today she lives in Salisbury, NC.

  Mary Waddleton

Mary Waddleton, Yacht Underwriter

Mary became part of Maritime Program Group in 1998. Her career began in yacht insurance sales at The Hartford Insurance Company. With a lifetime of passion for the water, Mary once sailed her 30’ Lippincott to the Bahamas, embarking on a two-year adventure that gave her experience as a first mate on private yachts in the Caribbean. She is an avid boater, a resident of the CT shoreline, and mother to a son who served in the US Navy and now is a Hard Hat Diver in the Gulf of Mexico.

  Pauline Whalen

Pauline Whalen, Ocean Marine Underwriting Technician

Pauline came on board with Marine MGA in 1996 and has more than 28 years of experience in the insurance industry. Previously, she worked at New Hampshire Insurance in both the Inland Marine and Ocean Marine areas. Her true loves remain the ocean and her two daughters. Currently she resides in Manchester, NH.

  Sue Williams

Sue Williams, Yacht Program Manager - Windward

Sue’s tenure began with Windward Marine Underwriters in 2005. She has more than 24 years of experience in underwriting private pleasure and commercial risks. She worked in Cigna’s Yacht Department, the Zurich Yacht Department, and the Royal and SunAlliance Yacht Department and has an impressive range of experience in underwriting, analyzing, and supervising. She lives with her family in Concord, NC.

  Ann-Marie Woodlock

Ann-Marie Woodlock, Claims Assistant

Ann-Marie began work for Marine MGA in 1991 and is a 25-year professional in the insurance industry. Her expertise is put to use in our claims department where she helps organize and administrate the claims process for our brokers. A lifelong NH resident, today she lives in Manchester.
